Progressive education emphasizes learning based on real-life experiences, active student participation, and the development of critical thinking skills and social responsibility. This study employs a qualitative literature review method by analyzing six relevant scholarly articles. The results show that Dewey's progressive education principles strongly support the development of a flexible curriculum, project-based learning, and adaptive approaches to the demands of a changing era. The concept of Intelligent Action helps shape students to be reflective, creative, and capable of making intelligent decisions in facing the complexities of the modern world. Therefore, the application of Dewey’s progressive education principles must be continuously developed to create an innovative and strong-character generation in the era of globalization
2025-09-11T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Azila Avrielita Pamungkas, Sofie Talitha Yesiana Rahmawati, Sofie Talitha Yesiana Rahmawati http://journal.mwsfoundation.or.id/index.php/jised/article/view/144 Peran Website Bimbingan Konseling dalam Menangani Pelanggaran Tata Tertib Siswa dengan Tinjauan Psikologis Pendidikan di SMK 5 Palembang 2025-06-05T11:11:57+07:00 Asiawatie S biropsikologibinaasih@gmail.com Zet Abdullah zetabd354@gmail.com Indah Rahma Sari indahrs387@gmail.com Mahmud Mahmud m4h86mud@gmail.com Anggoro Aryo Pramuditho anggoro.aryo@gmail.com
The development of information technology provides great opportunities for the world of education, especially in supporting Guidance and Counselling (BK) services. This study aims to examine the role of the Guidance and Counselling website in handling student disciplinary violations at the high school/vocational school level with a psychological approach. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation in several high schools/vocational schools that have implemented a website-based BK system. The results of the study indicate that the use of the BK website can increase the effectiveness of communication between BK teachers, students, and parents, as well as facilitate data collection and monitoring of violation cases. In addition, the psychological approach applied through features such as self-assessment, online counselling, and digital education has a positive impact on students' understanding of the consequences of their behaviour. Thus, the BK website not only functions as an administrative tool, but also as a preventive and rehabilitative media in handling student disciplinary violations. This study recommends the development of a more interactive and integrated digital BK system to support sustainable student character building
2025-09-11T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Asiawatie S, Zet Abdullah, Indah Rahma Sari, Mahmud Mahmud, Anggoro Aryo Pramuditho http://journal.mwsfoundation.or.id/index.php/jised/article/view/145 Bridging Worlds: Integrating Indigenous Knowledge Systems With Science Education. Data was collected from ten schools in Libombo region using questionnaires, focus group discussions, observations and document analysis targeting principals, teachers, and students. Thematic analysis and descriptive statistics were used to analyse the data. Findings show indigenous knowledge positively influences child development and academic achievement promoting holistic learning cultural identity and engagement. Challenges include lack of documentation of indegenous knowledge systems and cultural sensitivity while opportunities include authentic integration of cultural heritage. Recommendations include enhancing digital infrastructure providing educator professional development and developing educational content incorporating local language and culture in science education. The study concludes that the intergration of culture and science creates an educational system which honours cultural heritage while preparing students for future challenges. Therefore, the objective of this research is to understand teachers' perspectives on conflict resolution strategies and teachers' ways of solving problems in the school environment. This scientific study was conducted with a qualitative approach by interviewing respondents such as 1 coordinator, 2 teachers and 2 students. The researcher used thematic analysis to organize the themes that appear frequently in the data. The research results showed that teachers face challenges in the conflict resolution process because teachers use traditional experience to resolve conflict in the school environment. Teachers do not communicate effectively, do not create a positive culture for conflict resolution, do not use problem-solving techniques well. From this result, it is necessary to promote integral and professional training for teachers on effective and efficient conflict resolution strategies. Conflict resolution strategy is a conflict resolution model that involves steps such as open communication and empathy, effective mediation, negotiation and collaboration, using problem-solving techniques, a restorative justice approach, and monitoring results. The implementation of this resolution strategy stage promotes interpersonal relationships between teachers and students in the school environment. The implementation of conflict resolution strategies in the school environment can promote students' positive behaviourist.
2025-09-11T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Joaquina Belo Freitas http://journal.mwsfoundation.or.id/index.php/jised/article/view/150 Sistem Informasi Sekolah Berbasis Web pada SD 08 Nan Limo Mudik 2025-08-22T00:22:53+07:00 Padina Mainetri dinakhayra60@gmail.com
This study aims to design, build and implement a Web-Based School Information System at State Elementary School (SDN) 08 Nan Limo Mudik.
